great location, small rooms however bed was comfy and the aircon worked a treat

Room was far too small to fit in a double bed - one occupant had to climb over the other as bed tight up against wall one side.

very poor rooms and decor compared to other hotels we have been in but i suppose ok for the value of money when arrived under bed there were rubbish so asked the cleaner to clean it which she did and apoligised,very dusty carpet around radiator room ideal only for a few days

I reached the Hotel at 7.30 AM after a long flight and was informed that there is no room at the moment though there is a booking in my name. I was told by an curt and unfriendly receptionist that I have to wait for at least 3 hours and they may give me a room based on availability, but that also cannot be guaranteed. Thus I was put through great difficulty in a new country on the very first day itself. I request Holiday City to advise travellers to book rooms for the previous day also if the hotel room will not be available at the time the traveller checks in. The room was too small. Also the sound insulation was very poor and the guests in adjoining rooms gets disturbed due to sound from the next room.

lift was not working for several days. Hotel very hot. A nice picture on the wall would be nice - curtains would be better than blind.

Would have liked to have seen more tours or something similar on offer at the front desk. While the room was small in size you were told to expect this on the website so I have no complaints in this area. The only suggestion we have is that the room could have down with in house movies, which we would have been more than happy to pay for.

I thought the price was too high for something so simple, but maybe it was influenced due to the school holiday time. Overall, I was satisfied. The room was just excellent, except for the amenities. The toilet is too small even for an average person, while the outside area is massive.

Staff were accomodating in changing rooms without question. Asked for non smoking room - given a room that had been smoked in. Had to go back and ask for another room. Blinds dont work in second room as well as the curtains broken off rail. Room didnt look like the one advertised on the website.

Efficient front desk staff. Because of the sheer size of the room the bathroom is very compact.

a continental breakfast includes croissants, pastries etc. not just a row of toasters and bread. the croissants etc. AND the breads should be provided. Plus a selection of fruit.

An ideal base for the city. Would stay again and recommend it to others. Great value for money.

I loved the location...it was our first time in Melbourne and made life easy! Lovely and clean and a functional little room.
