My wife and I stayed at the Parmelia Hilton for three nights prior to flying back home to the UK. Our first impressions were good as we were welcomed as soon as we arrived at the door. Our luggage was carried in, the car valet parked and the booking in process very straightforward.
Our standard room was a little smaller than expected but well furnished and decorated with a good well stocked bathroom. The window looked out to a restricted view of the Swan River glimpsed between neighbouring high rise buildings. There were building operations going on outside which did not cause any annoyance.
Room service was prompt and the food good on our first night. On the second night we had dinner in the Globe restaurant where the food and service were first class.
The location is convenient being a five minute walk from the main shopping area of central Perth.
We enjoyed our stay.

It is more suitable for business travellers as it seems to be in the commercial belt.
Rooms are quite spacious and they provide free playpens for toddlers.
Doors are heavy and is loud when closing.
Due to the festive period, the area around hotel are very quiet and relatively far from the shopping belt, (e.g. Murray and HAy street).

The location is very strategic to get around. I am not sure if there are car parking lots provided but a neccessity. Excellent and helpful front desk and concierge staffs - keep up the good team!!! Overall well laid out. However,I personally feel the interior decorations could be improved further to enhance the hotel image

subscribe cable TV. Too few TV channels for selection air conditioning can be improved. There is no button to adjust the fan speed. It ended up too cold or too hot

The pillow menu was fantastic!! I personally sleep with a boomerang pillow and find it diffiuclt to adjust to the pillows other htels provide. This service was very well received by all in our party! Thank you

We only stayed two nights instead of 8 as intended. The hotel room was small and the ensuite bathroom so small you could barely turn around. Car parking was only available at a charge of $28 which was not stated at the time of booking. Breakfast was additional at over $30 pp. All in all this was very poor value and we would not stay there again

Pool are was disappointing. Normal rate is too high and I would not recommend the hotel at that rate. However the offer rate was very good value
