Hotel staff were excellent and very helpful, the location is very convenient and too close to the city center.

The view from the room wasn't too fantastic. Was hoping for a view of Hagley Park as I understood from the website but that was not what we had. Breakfast was very good. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

I ordered a hamburger and a coke for lunch downstairs in the restaurant at 1.30 on Sat pm and the service was shameful--the young bloke had no idea.

The tea was very good.

i was only here 1 night--i was quite pleased and would stay here again--very friendly and helpful staff--everyone was so kind and helpful--can walk to the cathedral area or could take a taxi--
the atmosphere in this hotel is wonderful and welcoming --the bar and restaurant area is so cozy and warm--

The ideal place to stay for business people travelling solo, couples wanting to have a retreat and for families to use as a central spot for their stay in Christchurch and its surrounds.

The only negative I would give this hotel is the serious lack of water pressure in the shower. My shower was at 6.20am - not exactly peak hour, so I would have expected a lot more pressure than came through the taps. Other than that, it was a good value for money hotel in an excellent location for business.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Christchurch. It's an easy walk to shops, museums, parks restaurants and public transport is at the door. Rooms are spacious and sound proof; views are good too. Staff are always helpful and accommodating.
Across the road is the Casino.
Just remember that you have to pay for parking; $20 a day.

We were pleasantly surprised and were sorry we did not book two nights. This hotel would normally be out of our price range and therefore we appreciated its excellance because the price was low. we will definately book and pay in advance again and have encouraged our friends to do so.

Great Location. Club floor rooms were really great. Club breakfast OK (staff member was a little forgetful) and evening drinks very nice.

When we booked in the receptionist said that the rate included breakfast. The restaurant staff disagreed and it took a little while for this matter to be resolved. However it was to our satisfaction.
The hotel also has only a few umbrellas available for the use of its guests. We were surprised this was so for what we have always thought was a first class hotel
The staff in the bar were we thought somewhat lacking in training

General service was very good. Like the ability to open the window and get fresh air.
