- Upon check in we were made to pay for an extra night due to the earliness of the check in, however this was never mentioned upon booking of the room.
- The room was not to the standard that I expect for the amount of money that it costs per night.
- The food and the service at the restaurant was very good, probably the highlight of the hotel.
- On our last day there we were preparing to check out and the power went off. We were therefore given 2 buckets of cold water to use for bathing. Also my wife could not do her hair due to the hairdryer not working.
- When we checked out the staff refused to give us any compensation for the power outage.
- Upon our return to Chennai we decided to give The Park another chance s we had a 9 hour wait until our flight. However when we checked in they tried to charge us almost twice the price of our original stay for just 9 hours there. They would not match the price we got from the internet. They refused to lower the price in compansation for the disappionting and expenxive previous stay.
- We left and went to The Rain Tree and without mentioning our problems with The Park Hotel, they gave us a far nicer room, a free upgrade due to the short amount of time we were spending there and complimentry drinks upon arrival. This was all for half the cost of the best price that The Park Hotel could give.

It has 26" LCD Monitor - Very impressive !
