In 1875, Palace Hotel San Francisco debuted as the world's largest and most luxurious hotel, towering eight stories over San Francisco. A bridge from the old world to the modern city, the Palace recreates the elegance and glamour of 19th century high society, with its beautiful vaulted ceilings and original Austrian crystal chandeliers. Host to presidents, royalty and giants of industry, the Palace have been lavishly restored with loving attention to its rich past.
The guest rooms include 34 suites which include 30 one and two-bedroom suites, the Ambassador Suite, the Chancellor's Suite, the Governor's Suite and the Presidential Suite. In all of the suites, the historical ambiance blends seamlessly with the latest modern conveniences. The original fireplaces are still in place in the Ambassador Suite, Chancellor's Suite, Governor's Suite and Presidential Suite, although fire code prevents their use today. |
