The room was just big enough for one person at a time to move around the room. This would have been perfect for a single person but for two people it was small.

we found the hotel great value and an absolute perfect location. We were central to everything within Christchurch including the tram and free shuttle (yellow buses). We found the beds extremely comfortable and the rooms extremely well equiped. The internet was free and avail 24/7. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again (prefer away from the Friday night street rampage after midnight). Give it a go and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Can't beat the location. I loved the intimate atmosphere of being in a small hotel -- no one making noise in the hall at 3 AM. Nice having free internet access and fresh fruit. Staff was helpful.

Small negative is that there are a few stairs on each floor that lead from the elevator landing to the level that the rooms are on. If you have a lot of heavy luggage, this could be a problem.

My late arrival after midnight was not a problem. I was very tired and used some of my stay just to sleep. Another time I sat in one of the lounges and read for hours. I loved the feel of the hotel, very much "un-standard" with the varying floor heights, surprise corners, and blending of private rooms and recreational space. I know it's taken from the Manhattan model and I think it works. I liked the range of appliances, and the personal toiletries were good quality.

Used the tram to see the city on my only available day for sightseeing in town, and the hotel location was perfect with the tram at the door.

The only thing that disappointed me was that some surfaces in my room were dusty - I think they must have been undisturbed for some days. Good place. Would like to stay again.

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Liked that it was non-smoking and the internet accessibility. Was taken aback by the small lobby, and the small size of the room. Was also surprized by the shower set up.

There was some confusion over whether breakfast was included or not. I could not tell from the booking form and when we checked in they were not sure either- so we did not persue it. There was quite a bit of noise from the street
