Staff service was good. I overlooked my return flight timing which was at 0045hr. and had to quickly check out of the hotel at 11pm. - leaving me 1hr.45 minutes to flight departure. The hotel staff urgently arranged a taxi for the airport. I also requested the staff to call the airline that I am on my way to the airport. I made to airport just in time and thanks to the hotel staff, the airline counter staff were there waiting for us. However, I have one complaint which is that the hotel deducted RMB 1200 from my credit card even though there was no unpaid bill. They replied my email that it is their practice to deduct and that refund would be made in a few days. The hotel followed up with another email that they have instructed their bank to refund the money and that I should check with the credit card company in a week from that day. I checked on the eighth day and the refund was not made yet. This is my first experience with a hotel that deducts from the credit card even though there is no unpaid bill.

I particularly liked the magazine shop at the entrance - very useful. The tour to the Great Wall and Ming Tours that was booked for us was excellent. On the other hand, unlike other hotels we used, we couldn't book rail tickets through Novotel Xin Jiao Beijing. We had trouble getting the basin plug fixed. We were offered another room, but it was substandard. We were then put in an upgraded room - but then the receptionist initially wanted to charge us more for it!

No pool or jacuzzy as shown in pics, the staff was nice and the location was just great. i think the price is really good for this hotel. The bed was just not comfortable, too hard, and good thing i was there during the summer because the shower can not keep you warm where the stream was too weak
