the lounge area was very relaxing and the staff very tentative.
unfortunately on the second night we decided to eat in the restauant, ... what a dissapointment!
we decided to eat a la carte as we are not big seafood eaters.
the meal was very ordinary and although the staff that served us were pleasant, i could not understand why every table around us was covered in dirty dishes, dity glasses and half eaten food, not one staff member attempted to clear a table that had been vacated by guests that had eaten and left. As well as this, guests that were eating had to take their own plates to a used table near them and dump them themselves so as they could then have something else from the buffet.
i feel $65. 00 per head is a decent price to pay for a buffet meal, you should be able to expect better service.
wollongong has quite a few excellent restaurants and unfortunately for novatel many are in walking distance from the hotel.
i have been taught , name of the game is bums on seats,someone needs to explain this to the resataurant staff at novetel.
