We had a terrific time, the hotel was situated in the middle of the city so we could walk everywhere. the Consierge (Stewart) was most helpful. The room was pleasant and so were the staff. Only setback was the pool was closed down, but at least they had a gym on the premises.

The hotel fully met the expectations of my wife and myself. After a week in a campervan we were looking forward to staying in a comfortable hotel and the Novotel on Collins certainly offered this. The bed was was exceptionally comfortable and the room was of a very good size. The hotel was centrally located with good access to all local amenities. Our room was extremely quiet as it overlooked the shopping precinct although I don't know whether those occupying rooms overlooking Collins Street had a similar experience.

Lobby and reception service was first class and the breakfast choice was substantial and the quality very good.

All in all we were very impressed with the hotel and would certainly book here again on future visits to Melbourne.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Novotel on Collins and would recommend it to anyone. We felt very relaxed and welcome there, the staff were friendly but non-intrusive. Our room was a little dated but very clean, comfortable and roomy, with an interesting view overlooking Collins St.

The Novotel is very central for walking to shops, the river bank, theatres etc and we quickly learnt to take advantage of the tram service which passed by the front of the hotel.

We had one evening meal at the Hotel restaurant, and found the food satisfactory but over-priced considering that we had comparable meals at the restaurant in the food court below for a fraction of the cost. That said the breakfasts were excellent and the wait staff were very helpful, courteous and pleasant at all times.
Reception and Concierge staff also were a pleasure to deal with.
We would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

Spent the weekend at the Melbourne Novotel as I was taking part in the "Round the Bay in a Day" cycle event.Despite having my wife with me,my priority was my beloved bike of course and the staff could not have been more helpful ,both with unloading from the car and housing it during our stay.
The perfect position of the hotel meant that my wife was able to explore and shop easily while I could go off on my adventures conscience free !!

An excellent, modern hotel, right in the heart of the city. Situated right above "Australia on Collins" which has many good shops including a very good food court where great, inexpensive take away meals are available. Just as good as The Marriott but about $100 per night cheaper!

When we had problems with noisy neighbours, the htole staff dealt with the complaint in an extremely effiecnt, professional and prompt manner whnich I appreciated. I needed to ask for towles, facecolths and hand towels on 2 occasions as these were not provided. I did however recive prompt service when I asked.

Our room was accidentally given to another guest while we were still there.NO-one rang to explain or apologize for the confusion.

The staff were superb, right from the moment we stepped foot inside. All amenities were well set out and really great. Beautifully decorated, allowed us to feel as if we were at home.

Will be good if breakfast can be included into the hotel rates at special discount. Some hotels that I hv stayed in actually do include breakfast . Will be good if they provide complimentary drinking water.

first nicht our fridge was not working.called maintenance to fix the next morning
