It is not the first time I am staying in Novotel Batam, since I like the peacefulness of the hotel and the proximity to Nagoya. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room which I checked in had been retrofitted and looked upmarket with new amenities such as a Flat screen LCD tv. Only gripe was that the previous guest had filled the electric flask with Ovaltine and the flask was not cleaned. A quick visit to the recptionist sent Housekeeping to my room with a clean replacement flask. Overall, the experience was not bad since the rooms had a decent facelift.

My stay at this hotel was very satisfied. The room was well kept & very clean. The breakfast had variety choices of food. The hotel facilities was very good. Especially the pool was great. The staff was really polite & courteous as they always greet us. The welcome was excellent. Service was also very promptly served.

I did enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Definitely i would recommand people to have a luxury stay at this hotel.

Location of this hotel is good and within walking distance to harbour bay ferry terminal but i don't recommend anyone to walk there as the traffic especially motorbikes are rather unpredictable.

The hotel lobby is rather warm and makes checking-in abit uncomfortable but the front office staff however are very friendly and accommodating. Even walking through the corridor to the room is warm and stuffy.

The rooms are of average size and the bed is comfortable but the toilets are rather small and not impressive. They also should provide morning newspaper and fruit basket which is an added value in most of the hotels of the same rating.

Due to the convenient location of this hotel, i will definitely stay again during my business trips there.

Everything was good. But the access to the balcony is bad. The door is in poor condition and when you try opening it, you have to exert force.

You mention in the booking that is a sea-view, but nothing near to it happen. If we bring this to a bounded contract, its a breach. But forget it, since the rest of the services were good enough.

This has been my second time staying in the hotel..There are so many things that I liked about the hotel be it the rooms, service, amenities and accesibility. You might want to try the fried rice....EXCELLENT!! One thing though I hope that the hotel would provide a shuttle service to and fro harbour ctrs, shopping ctrs and places of attraction.. This would definetely add plus points to the hotel value for money attraction

My kids had a great time in this hotel. The most exciting facility is the indoor swimming pool. The food is good and all the staff are helpful esp the bell guy who assisted me all through to get a coach to move around with my 5 kids.

Great hotel . will not hesitate to come again.

The only small negative was no being given a non-smoking room even though it was requested.

I was very happy with the stay.

Staff were excellent. Meals were good quality and reasonable.

An excellent getaway hotel for S'poreans.
The first hotel we have been to that provide bolsters.
We did a 3-hour refreshing spa and the service was excellent. A 15% discount was given to us.

Value for money. Hotel is near many amenities.

Expect to pay for extra service like flight or ferry confirmation. Hotel charges per head count. Best to do yourself.

Having decided at the last minute to visit Battam we found the Novotel a fabulous place to relax and chill for a few days in the middle of a 3 month trip to Asia.
Within walking distance of Main Shopping Areas and Food Courts but also with its own private air conditioned Taxi Service, hairdressers, indoor pool and gym and clothes shops there is very little need to leave the hotel at all.
The Hotels Manager and staff could not have been more helpful and the hotels bar on the ground floor bar was the most enjoyable with nightly entertainment and a fantastic live band.
the Novotel got a big thumbs up from us !!

My stay in Novotel meet my expectation except we spend quite sometimes waiting for check-in.

Meanwhile, the facilties in the hotel is quite nice also. It's quite noisy at lobby area as renovation is ongoing. Perhaps due to the Puasa Month, the buffet dinner is not so nice.

Anyhow the staffs are quite helpful and polite and their spa services is reasonable.

Overall, I would still recommend to stay in this hotel.

The hotel staff is helpful. However, the facilities is quite limited. The buffet breakfast is cheap and the food taste not bad. We paid IDR450000 nett for the breakfast. It is value for money. The price paid for their transport service is quite cheap considering that they are not taxi but is their own private vehicle driven by their hotel's drivers. The price is ranged at IDR100000 for an hour. However, the location of the hotel is not very convenient. The nearest shopping area is Nagoya shopping mall and we have to take a taxi. The shopping centre is about 15 mins away from the hotel. The price paid is about IDR 50000 for a trip. The best thing is there is a shuttle bus going to Batam Centre, another big shopping centre, from the hotel.
