During this January stay, the weather was winterish (windy and chilly but still 18°C with a peak at 22°C at mid-day)but the hotel was very pleasant, especially the balcony associated to the room and the restaurant over the sea. The swimming pool was closed. The hotel location is excellent and the hotel lay-ou- resembles a set of Spanish Haciendas, full of charm.

We had a wonderful trip actually. Not our first stay at the Al Dana Resort, but this time was all too short!

We were extremely happy with the booking service of HolidayCity, and for which we thank you, and advise that we completed a comment form which was located in our rooms at the Al Dana.

We wanted a high quality family hotel with a beach.We also wanted a tennis court but settled to use the one at the Elite Hotel next door.Waiter service around the pool could be improved.However,the overall experieince was good.

My wife and I found the hotel to be clean well presented but as it appears to be a 24 hour check in check out hotel there was a fair amount of door banging coming and goings throught out the night which kept us both awake when we want to have a quiet weekend away from the hussle and bussle of living and working in Saudi Arabia. The staff were very pleasant and helpfull. When we asked to have a rrom change they where very helpfull and managed to organise this even though the hotel was very busy.

This is the second time I have stayed in this resort and what a difference 6 months makes. It took over 3 hours to check in and the reason given " The hotel is very busy" Once finally in the room the mini bar was not stocked 3 phone calls and 12 hours later mini bar stocked.... once it was stocked someone kept phoning room to have me sign for items ( told to add to room bill) Also room service took forever and again had to chase the hotel up, they have also started to charge guests for buckets of ice not only in the room but down on the beach. When you try to talk to someone its never their department, always someone elses problem.

Complained to the duty manager who promised to look into everything and it things would change etc.... Imagine my surprise when nothing happened and no feedback was given.

The swim up bar in the hotel pool is excellent though and the staff look after you and are friendly and helpful.

All in all if you are prepared to put up with poor service then the resort is worth staying at, but don't expect too much.

in the Health club, i surprised that i cant use a locker , the rules ther are not fair.

Internet connection was not very flexible. along with the construction noise The construction from the room was making it hard to sleep

friendly staff, reception was a bit crowded/slow at peak times Very nice suite

Missing a central lobby area with casual coffee/meeting area Some excellent rooms directly overlooking the sea
