exelent place to stay , good value, staff were very helpfull in all aspects of the hotel, would stay again as have stayed before this time.

Staff are courteous. Though we have requested for one room with queen size bed and annother with twin, we got both as queen size. Breakfast was wonderful with wide range of local, continental and some international spread. Hotel ambience, especially the lobby, reflects the simplicity of a business hotel. It could be cosier. Good location but hopefully 1Borneo can sustain its crowd-pulling stores. The only problem is that water pressure in room 717 was too great and became uncontrolable when using toilet bowl spray. Taxi service is too expensive in the area - RM25.00 for every trip! However, I will definitely return to Novotel.

The hotel is located in a reasonable distance from the airport and the city where almost everything is available under one roof. This is specially convenient for families of all ages, everybody get to do what they like without too much hassle with transport arrangement.

In general, I quite happy with the hotel room and convenience because it attached with the shopping mall. The room is clean, the bed is confort, LCD TV in the room, bath room is good and clean, internet is free. All the basic and neccessary thing is there.

In overall, is worth for money because I got promotion rate.

The hotel room is good.

The location is good, if you are into shopping. There are a lot of shops and restaurant in the hypermall which is connected to the hotel. However one thing the hotel location is a bit far from the KK city.

The buffet breakfast is OK, and the hotel does have a nice pool and also a small pool for kid.

Overall, i will recommend the hotel to anyone who just want a shop and relax environment.

The hotel is quite new and in very good and clean condition. I really liked the room layout with a glass wall between the bathroom and the bed room. The staff was very helpful. Price wise it was good value for the money.

Location is everything. If people wants to be away from KK and enjoy the 1Borneo Hyper Mall then it is good, if they want the city facilities nearby then it is quite far away.

Personally I enjoyed my stay but like to be in the city.

Only the negative was the mini bar, not stocked very well.

Advice, keep up maintenance on rooms to ensure they stay in as new condition. Just showing signs that simple painting and patch needs doing.

This is the second time we visited KK, we planned to stay in a resort hotel but the room rate for the first night (because it was a Sunday) was comparatively high and also we arrived in the evening, so we spent the first night at Novotel, the room rate is half the price of a 4-star resort hotel. Taxi ride from the airport costs RM40. The room turned out exactly the same we seen on the photos - neat and clean, spacious. No photo of the swimming pool was shown on any websites, but it turns out ok. The hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall, with shops, supermarket and restaurants in different cuisines (local, western, Japanese, Hong Kong..). Although our stay at Novotel was short (less than 24 hours), we would recommend it to friends.

The staff were courteous and room services quick to response. The locality which is adjacent to the 1Borneo shopping mall is good for shopper. The shuttle bus to Kota Kinabalu town is a good idea, however, the driver should be more punctual (the travel schedule shoudnt delay so long)

Overall I would recommend the Novotel to my friends and relatives.
