I loved the location of the Hotel and their food. Specially their buffet for dinner. Excellent beach and good pool facilities. But Room Service, Registration at counter could be improved a lot. I had some issues with the Bill on Room Rates, but their staff was courteous and spent time to resolve the issue. It took time and they arranged special vehicle to drop us off to Ferry Terminal.

Our stay in this resort was very enjoyable - the beaches were beautiful and the staff were very fiendly and helpful in several cases. We booked 2 separate beds in a room for our teenage children, but initially got a kingsize bed. Later the staff arranged an additional bed rather quick. I understand that being near the tropical jungle we might have lizards and insects coming into the room. At one time we had an army of ants in the room, but the staff also removed them immediately. One negative point is the wifi capability in the room is rather limited. There is also no LAN connection available. So if you intend to have long internet connection, it is almost impossible. The beauty of the Bintan resort is unfortunately rather artificial, if one compare to the area outside the resort. The resort is very big and there are thousands of things one could do inside, but if you manage to come out of the resort you would notice that it is a totally different world and prices could be as low as 1/8 of the prices in the resort. We enjoyed the stay, so we would recommend it, especially for families.

The Nirwana resort hotel is an excellent hotel with many facilities and has excellent transfer facilities to other parts of the resort and restaurants etc.. The staff are very friendly and courteous and nothing seems to be too much of a problem for them. For those seeking activities and things to do this is a great place to be based although it favours families rather than couples looking for relaxing atmosphere. On the downside my wife and I found that the resort can be noisy at night time as the hotel building offers very little soundproofing from other rooms ar the very noisy corridors. After midnight the noise does lessen but if you need an early night and some rest it might be best to look for other accomodation.

We liked this hotel, even during rain showers it was a fun experience. The private beach on the South Chinese Sea was great and picture perfect. The staff was extremely friendly, from the transfer to the hotel to the trip back to the ferry.

I have enjoyed a lot. Bintan is a great beautiful place. Nirwana has made good use of it and allow us to really relax conveniently and enjoy Bintan. Lots of facilities are good, esp. the massage place - Kiplan? It's so beautiful with aromatic smell....I love it. Staff are so good with welcoming warm services. Thanks a lot everyone. We stayed in the suite and were really impressed with the room. Over all a little expensive in relation to other Asian destinations but that was expected as I had read in other reviews. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

The staff's service is quite good and their English is well spoken too.
The only set back was that one of the room's air con was not working well and the wall light wasn't working either.
Also, the it could be more handicapped friendly as the lifts were only at the rooms but none at the restaurants.

my stay in this hotel exceed my expections...we book a Deluxe Room, however they have upgraded me to a wonderful suite.

The room was clean and big with a balcony convenient for my husband to smoke and enjoy a good scenery.

Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful less some who were very rude, especially those in the restaurants, and they not have a personal touch.

Location wise it is not much different from other resorts in the area

We actually went just to relax and we really were able to relax! The view from our room was very good ... overlooking the pool & a bit of the beach too ... next time we'd probably stay really overlooking the beach :-)

Food was great and the hotel staff really courteous and approachable!

Room also very nice and the amenities quite good!

Maybe if the beach club and the sports/recreation center and the bigger shopping stores are within the vicinity then it'll be more fun :-)

Overall I had a great time at this resort. The rooms were reasonable, and the staff were very friendly. The beds are also very comfortable. Food was good and the prices fair. The buffet breakfast is also very nice.

The pool is huge and very relaxing. Can be a bit hard to find a lounge chair and also towels can get rare later in the day. The swim up bar though is great and the prices are fairly reasonable (once you're used to Singapore drink prices everything seems reasonable though).

The mini-mart though is unbelievably expensive, $5 for 1.25 litres of Coke Zero and $25 or so for Sunscreen (which you will need).

Tried the snorkelling at the beach resort nearby which I wouldn't recommend, not much to see, but maybe the tour version is better. Also the night club type of thing they have here was quite dead at night. Maybe try Silk next time. The whole place doesn't seem like much of a partying place to me.

Book yourself a massage at one of the places outside of the resort and get yourself a cool fake tattoo afterwards. Recommended.

I felt the serenity of the resort as soon as I stepped off the bus. The pick-up from the ferry terminal was swift and the staff were polite. The welcoming party at the entrance of the resort made my day. I felt like royalty. The room service was impeccable. When I asked for extra pillows, it arrived before I could even blink an eye. well done Nirwana! I'm sure I'll be returning.

our stay at nirwana was great. we had some apprehensions abt nirwana resort after reading some reviews but it was a wonderful and we have no complaints. staff was courteous and very helpful .there were lot of activities to do. They have activities to meet needs of all people. you can do archery, rifle shooting, spend time in pools with beautiful view of beach... in overall a wonderful stay ... we will definetely return back to this resort
