The hotel staff are all very courteous and, I feel personally that they went that little bit extra for my wife and I. Quietly impressed with the turn down service.
We will be endevouring to recommend your hotel to both friends and family.

It is suited to any traveller, we were relocating to Singapore and had our 2 year old daughter. The staff were great and understanding.

I was blown away by this hotel. Loved the decor...very modern and stylish, but also warm and inviting, with the use of plenty of wood and soft lighting. The espresso machine in the room is a nice touch. Service is personal, since there are not so many rooms compared to the usual 5 star. The location, right behind the Raffles Hotel, is a 5 minute walk to Raffle City MRT and shopping mall. For those interested to check out the area, there are also numerous designer furniture shops and cool bars along Purvis St nearby. The Bras Basah Complex is also an interesting jaunt for those looking for some old school shopping. A true hip hotel!

As above. When we checked in the person on duty tried to put us in a room that had two single beds, had been used by a smoker very recently and was extremely dirty and totally unacceptable. When we complained about the state of the room we were told there was no other room available. We showed him the booking form which stated we had had booked a de luxe double room but again he said nothing else was available until we said we would go somewhere else. He then offered another room which had just been redecorated which had not been serviced but at least had a double bed. We then had to wait for it to to be serviced and it was still only marginaly acceptable. The next day we were forced to again stay over in Singapore aand we were certainly not going back to the Metropole and at the airport we found Le Meridian were offering rooms at a cost of $7 more than we had paid at the Metropole. their room did turn out to be what one would expect for the price. i would suggest that you not refer clients to the Metropole as it will certainly affect us using your services again. The only good thing about the hotel is its location. Price is too much if amenities, comfort, cleanliness and services were to be the basis. Beds are small. Rugs/carpet were not clean only the beddings and toilet were cleaned. Small room for 3 beds. The additional bed is also small/short--folds on its own and unstable. Shower was not used on the first day bec. the connecting hose is faulty. Amenities were for 2 star hotel. No cable channels only local.

i guess my on-line booking was not received and confirmed by Metropole Hotel since upon check-in Receptionist need keep on asking the room rate that I chose
