Very friendly hotel, excellent location. Would stay there again any time.

My wife and I were travelling on to Fiji and have found the Metro to be very convenient. Being a nice walking distance to the CBD. we have stayed here before and will again Hotel is very clean, we hope the restaurant is going next time that we come to Brisbane.

The hotel met our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially on one occasion when there seemed to be some problem in the kitchen, and one of the breakfasts we ordered arrived with part of the order missing, and the other meal didn't arrive at all. The cost of the meal was refunded and an alternative meal was quickly prepared.
One of the main attractions of this hotel is its location. We enjoy walking and it's an easy stroll into the heart of the city, to the parks or riverside, or to the railway station. For this reason we have stayed there several times and recommended the hotel to friends who have also stayed there.

If you want a reasonably priced lovely room with a view, this is the place. The curved window may decrease the size of the room slightly, but you have a spectular view from your bed. We didn't use the hotel's facilities as we stayed only one night (we were going on a tour the next day). The hotel is close to the Holiday Inn on Roma Street which seems to be a staging area for tours departing from Brisbane for Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef (but the Metro Tower Mill is about 1/3 cheaper). It is also close to the Roma Street Station for those who are without a vehicle. One warning -- it is on top of a hill so expect to get your exercise if you are walking a lot.

The staff were excellent from the moment I arrived - very friendly and helpful and courteous in all areas - reception, restaurant etc. They couldn't have been better. The walls and ceiling needed painting where light fittings had been replaced in the bedroom and bathroom. The ceiling in the shower also needed painting - apart from these items the room was fine.

Seeing we stayed only night and we left early the next morning... My wife said the room was nice... that is unusual ...

There was major reconstruction work in the reception area which limited our experience. There had been smokers inone of our non smoking rooms.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definately stay there again.

For what I wanted the room was adequate. I did not spend much time there.

Cheaper rate available at the Holiday Inn! Very clean

Good value for the money. no place to hang clothes. We got a free room upgrade so that the room was larger than the regular rooms.

Reception area is very small. Only one single lift to serve the floors. It is very slow in moving up and down. It is within walking distance to the main shopping mall at Queens Street and the Central Railway Station. The Central Railway Station has trains that connect the city to the airport terminal. Ride is comfortable and fast.

The room was adequate in size & do enjoy having a balcony to step out to.
