The food was absolutely great and the staff so friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend to others of our age (65+) staying at Mecure Dunedin.

We had a great time in Dunedin and knowing we were staying in an excellent Hotel made all the difference to our peace of mind. We were able to really relax and enjoy our time there.
One criticism would be towards the dinner menu, not enough choice, the same all five days we were there.

We liked the staff - very nice. Upgraded us for free because it was our honeymoon. However, we found the room a little smaller compared to other hotels we stayed at in NZ. We also didn't really like the design of the hotel - felt like hospital colors in the corridor. However, the view over the garden was lovely.
We thought it was odd that the nightly rate increased by $30 from Friday to Saturday night for the same room.
Overall, we had a nice few days in Dunedin.

too bad there isn't a gym, or at least a spa, right at the hotel....but I can't complain about a thing, really....
