Upgraded us for free because it was our honeymoon. However, we found the room a little smaller compared to other hotels we stayed at in NZ. We also didn't really like the design of the hotel - felt like hospital colors in the corridor. However, the view over the garden was lovely. We thought it was odd that the nightly rate increased by $30 from Friday to Saturday night for the same room. Overall, we had a nice few days in Dunedin.
