My last trip to Batam, a journey that is not forgotten because mercure hotel that I chose is right, have a romantic room, I spent several nights with my closest mate, I was very impressed with this trip

Selection of food for breakfast was fairly good. Front office staff was very accomodating.The whole experience staying at the hotel was pleasant except we didn't get the connecting room as per requested in our booking.

There are ppl smoking besides Jaguci and swimming pool, staffs should act on banning the smoking more strictly, no just let it be a meaningless signboard. Staffs are very polite and full of smiling. Swimming pool is small and shallow. Gym room is big and have varieties of instrument. Breakfast is very plenty, generous and out of expectation. Should bargain the cab fee if go to Nagoya hill, distance is short, anyone claim above 25K should be rejected. From Batam Center Ferry, we are able to get Cab to hostel with only 30K, but need to go to the street to ask instead of staying inside the premise.

This hotel is economical & the services are quite good than what we expected for this tariff. We occupied 3 rooms & AC in one room is not functioning properly. Otherwise, the service is quite good. We had a complementary breakfast, which is also good for the tariff we paid. We visit batam for the 1st time & we expected some guidance from the hotel side regarding tourist spots; but unfortunately, the hotel personnel could not. Locationwise, the hotel said to be in the heart of the island, but distant from the ferry terminal & other tourist spots. but, can be accessed by cabs. I would suggest this hotel for short stay.

staff is friendly, but not quite understand english. the pillow is a lil bit too big.. hence i got sleepless night for my 2 night stay.

It is value for money; the room is very clean and spacious.

Staff are also very friendly & helpful.

I had my lunch & breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food is fantastic & well presented. It is cheap too.

The security is well managed, all vehicle entry to the hotel entrance must pass through a security check with a big mirror going under the bottom of the car.

There is an in-house manage taxi service , always ready in front of the hotel. Taxi fare is reasonable, same as the public taxi fare. You can go to Nagoya Hill shopping center about 5 minutes costing around 35,000 rupiah. Or go to Golden Prawn Seafood Resturant at around 50,000 rupiah.

There is a very old Chiness Temple called TUA PEK KONG BUO nearby. Its quite near about 20min walk, but better take taxi. I walked to the temple on that day and the weather is hot, but I enjoyed the slow walking.

Ok, I will recommend anyone wish to visit Batam, try to stay in Hotel Mercure Batam.

Disappointed with the breakfast buffet. It was not replenished. I was left with not much choices when I went down more than 1 hour before closing.

Hotel Mercure is nearby to locations such as Nagoya Hill and has a family mart. Easy access to transport such as taxis etc...

However, counter staff were not skilled enough in handling early check-ins + committed to check in at 2pm...However when we arrived back at the hotel at 2pm, were informed to wait till 3pm as the rooms were not ready...

Gotta improve for a better first impression to customers

I came to the hotel to check in at 2pm but was made to wait for 20 minutes since the room needs to be cleaned.it was really unprofessional since i indicated that I'll be arriving around 11am-2pm. Imagine what would happen if I came in at 11am...
Check out time was the same, was made to wait for 10 minutes for them to serve me...
Well. I don't think that Batam has anything to offer, so
the only high point while I was there was that the hotel breakfast was really good!

My stay in this hotel met my expectations. The rooms are huge and comfortable. The hotel service are superb.
Will stay at this hotel again.

We chose this hotel by browsing thru the computer. The choice was good. We had booked 2 rooms. Staff at the front desk as well as in the restaurant were good. It was a pleasant stay.We will recommend to our friends and fly.

It's a nice place to stay for leisure, business, honeymoon and family outing. They have complete amenities like gym, pool, bar, restaurant, spa, souvenir shop, etc. They have smoking and non-smoking rooms. Their rooms are clean, spaceous, and comfortable with mini bar, safe deposit box and master control with alarm clock. The room rates are okay that it's affordable even if you plan to stay for long. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. The area is wi-fi and each room has its own internet cable that you can enjoy 24 hours internet services. Its location is in between the two big malls in Batam, the BCS mall and the Nagoya mall. If you are fond of walking, both malls are about 10 minutes walk. You can also ride through taxi, motorcycle or van. There are also nearby grocery shops, 24 hour store and fastfood chain like KFC and Pizza Hut.

It's been my 2 times to this hotel, reason going back to this hotel is because it's great. However, the 1st time going seems to be better than the 2nd times. But whatever it is, it is very worth it and VALUE FOR MONEY!!! =)

THE HOTEL WAS A GOOD CHOICE FOR ME, VALUE FOR MONEY BUT THE HOTEL BREAKFAST SERVED NEEDS IMPROVEMENT.
