Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our studio was clean and tidy and the room service excellent. The only negative was there was only one chair in our room, meant one of us had to sit on the bed. The car valet service was good, but wasn,t aware it was an extra cost on the room. Overall if you want to stay in the city centre in modest conditions I would reccomend.

We stayed at the end of a lengthy cruise from UK. It was a fairly relaxing cruise fortunatly,as were met with major works being carried out at ground floor reception...the works continued during our stay. However,the staff were friendly,dining facilities good and importantly felt secure and safe in the hotel and the city.

The price is reasonable. The hotel is in a convenient location. It's is right at main sreets, closed to the cruise port. We recommend travellers to stay here.

sorry it has taken so long to reply. The hotel i found to be in a very good position for the central city. the staff were very helpful. the room was very clean, the bed comftable. The only problem i have is that a guest parking at the side of the building dented my car. Your staff rang me, tookalldetails from other driver, took photo's etc , she was excellent. The only problem is the side of the building is narrow to have three vehicles next to each other. I paid $30 for valet parking, i parked upon arrival next to the building, valet parking moved it to the far wall, a couple of metres. I do not consider this valet parking and to be charged $30 is rather excessive. I would be interested in your comments regarding this issue

The hotel was located very close to the transport hub (train, ferries, buses, airport bus), and Queen Street for shopping. Great views from the restaurant at breakfast time. The room was good -- a coffee plunger would be a good addition to the rest of the facilities. The gym was small and useful. The hotel foyer was tiny (due to an upgrade) and the promised new area and free WIFI will be very welcome.

This was our 1st visit to Auckland and we booked the hotel on the internet based on it's price & location.

All the public transport systems - train, bus, ferry - were all easily accessible and within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

The staff were friendly & helpful; the hotel clean and quiet - with internet facilities available for a small fee. The room size, whilst not huge, was on par with any city hotel.

"Scotty" Sky Tower, restaurants, cafes & shopping all just a few minutes away on foot.

A very nice centrally located hotel where nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly and helpful staff.
The location was in a very central location for the things we had gone to Auckland to experience. Room was very clean and everything we needed was there.

It's location is next to the Britomart Transport Station which is excellent and also very near to the ferry terminal.

We had ten days to get to know NZ so started in Auckland . The hotel was central and a short taxi ride from airport. We had lots of luggage as we were joining a cruise ship after our NZ visit. the hotel stored our lugage while we travelled and it was ready in our room when we returned to the hotel after ten days.We arrived by train after our trip around NZ and the rail station was just around the corner to the hotel. Also we had a welcome back note and coffee and cake waiting for us. The staff were all very helpful and the roof restaurant served very good food in the evening at reasonable prices. Breakfast was also good for choice.

The location is excellent (near the ferry terminal) and on "The Link" bus connection to popular dining precincts. They try hard but it has seen better days. Rooms are on the small side and a bit run-down. I didn't use the amenities much, but everything I did use worked.

I would recommend the Mercure Auckland Hotel as a central and convenient place to stay. The room was a good size, clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, etc. It is close to the Airbus stop and the free City Circle bus route, so is convenient for travellers without a car. The staff were courteous and helpful at all times.

The only drawback was the noise, which can't be helped in a city of this size.

When I returned to stay for a second time I was upgraded to a suite, so was very pleased.

Service provided is not customer required. Upon booking, request for Queen size bed. Yet when arrival, got a twice bed. Complaint and change to a staff double bed. As customer is hugh man, the night stay is very bad experience.

The room was standard but comfortable. The location of the hotel was excellent.
