This hotel is in great location as this was my last night in Sydney on my own i wanted to be near and couldn't get any near what i loved about this hotel was i was right across the train station which is great bonus as u travel alot on train. So if to tired to walk to circular quay you get the train. I walked which took me only 15 mins and great way to see everything. As they are also on line to airport bonus as you just hop of train at central and next plant form airport which is great. Must say also the bed in room was the most comfortable bed i evere slept in you just sink into so had a great night sleep.

The Menzies is in the heart of Sydney and a short walk to the Sydney Harbour and Darling Harbour. A train station is located directly across the street, but at first glance it appears to be just a shopping center. The service was outstanding. The batteries for our camera and my MP3 player were charged without cost. The hotel upgraded our room without an extra charge. We were treated with kindness and respect by the entire staff.

Location couldn't be more central. We were greeted warmly by the staff who were very helpful and welcoming.
Breakfast was great.
We will definitely visit again!

We had several changes to rooms as we suffered with extremely noisy A/Cond One room with a bed that had collapsed in the middle another with a TV that did not work. The only person who showed any concern was the Concierge as we were going to leave our luggage there and look for another hotel,

He contacted the duty manager who we had previously spoken to and also left two phone messages that were not returned, who we had dealt with on 2 occasions at the front desk and found us a suitable standard of room in the hotel and offered his apologies and arranged drinks in the bar for us while staff attended to what then becane the final room in which we did decide to stay in,

Excellent location which is what we based our choice on but we would not stay in or recommned this hotel to anyone.

We really loved our stay at the Menzies. The hotel had an elegant and old world elegance which was very welcoming. The location is excellent. Circular Quay, the Rocks and the Art Gallery were all close by, or a short taxi ride away.

Breakfast, which was included in the price, was great, fresh, well cooked, abundant and beautifully presented. The room was comfortable and spacious and the two double beds were a bonus. The bathroom was a little ordinary but adequate. All of the staff were friendly and courteous.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a convenient and comfortable location in elegant surrounds. We are planning our next visit!

I would recommend the hotel to any of my friends and family. The staff was wonderful.

Ccocncierge in particular was excellent, for booking excursions etc. Would have been handy to have safe deposit in room.
