Also I thought it was a bit expensive for a weekend from Singapore (especially for singles).

FOOD WAS FRESH AND APPEALING AND A WIDE SELECTION OF CHOICE. IN THE RESTUARANT WHERE WE HAD OTHER MEALS BESIDES BREAKFAST, I NOTICED THAT THE COASTERS WHERE OUR COFFEE OR TEA CUPS WERE PLACED, THAT THE COASTERS WERE DIRTY AND SHOULD BE REPLACED FAR MORE FREQUENTLY AS TO US HYGENE TO BE A NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. WE FOUND OUR BATHROOM FACILITIES TO BE OF SUB-STANDARD ESPECIALLY THE FLOOR AND SURROUNDS AND HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS AREA DURING OUR STAY. ALSO DURING OUR STAY THE TOWEL RAIL BROKE AND WAS HANGING IN MID-AIR. THIS BEING OUR FIRST VISIT IN ALL HONESTY WE COULD NOT BRING OURSELVES TO RECOMMENDING THIS RESORT TO ANY FAMILY MEMBERS OR FRIENDS. THE STAFF AT RECEPTION WERE VERY HELPFUL AND THE RESTAURANT STAFF DID THERE BEST TO PLEASE US. WE FELT THAT THE RESTAURANT ESPECIALLY NEEDED A GOOD CLEAN ESPECIALLY THE FLOOR AREAS. I AM SURE IF THIS WAS SEEN TO IT WOULD HELP A LOT. WE DID FIND IT INCONVENIENT TO HAVE TO TRAVEL TO NIRWANA GARDENS TO USE AN ATM MACHINE AND FELT THERE SHOULD BE ONE AT EACH RESORT.

The view from the restaurant early in the morning is lovely, and if swimming in the ocean is not your thing then the pool at Nirwana Gardens is only a 10-minute stroll away. Also, the service staff at Mayang Sari are very friendly and, given the pace of the place, it's a world away from Singapore What was noticeable to me though was that it didn't seem like much had been done to the rooms since the last time I stayed there...which was over 3 years ago. It is getting a little tired now truth be told.
