Marriott at Brisbane

The hotel is located within walking distance to the Queen Street Mall and the various eateries along the riverside. The staff is excellent. They gave us accurate direction to help us locate the hotel as well as explicit direction to get from the hotel to the airport. As my family was only there for one night, we did not have the opportunity to try the food at the hotel. However, judging by the number of people who enter the restaurants, I think the food must be excellent. We were invited to upgrade our room to one that has the river view and were glad that we took up the offer. The view is spectacular. One could just spend the night simply by the window while admiring the sunset scene of the Brisbane bridge. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Brisbane.
Great Location
The Marriott Hotel is ideally situated close to CBD easy walking distance to Major shops. Views from the room overlooking the river was eye opening. Close to restaurants and River Cat terminal for cruising the river at reasonably prices, Sunday mornings markets to explore at leisure. The food was of an extremely high standard and service was excellent and the staff was very attentive. I would stay there again when I come to Brisbane.
For comfort. location, and value this hotel really delivers
My son and I visited Brisbane for three nights and were most impressed with the quality of the accommodations (luxurious marble bathrooms, ample rooms, ultra-comfortable beds), especially as we booked the rooms online at a very reasonable rate of $250 AUD. What's perhaps unbeatable about the Brisbane Marriott, however, is its location: proximity to Eagle Street Pier gives visitors their choice of outstanding restaurants (we tried Pier Nine and Cha Cha Char) as well as Ecco Bistro, just up the block. Eagle Street Pier is also on the city ferry line, which gives you access to a great way to get around and see Brisbane. The hotel is not smack in the middle of the commercial district (the casino, Queen Street mall), all of which are easily accessible by foot, making the neighborhood much more quiet. Last but not least, the walk along Eagle Street leads you right to the park and botanical gardens, which are peaceful, lovely, and educational. Needless to say, we left Brisbane great fans of this hotel and would recommend it highly to anyone traveling there.
hotel was lovely, clean and staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, and the view of the river and the bridge were outstanding, would go there again if going to brisbane again, and only 15 mins from centre of town x
