The hotel must be prepare the room for quest reservation already no need all quest waiting when they arrive because they have reserved ready by internet or by holiday city and tell the time arrive . I have waiting more time when I arrive and I am so surprised that make me waiting because at my country, when we have reserved they prepare ready no need to waiting long time.

Staff courteous and helpful, but too many of them do not speak and understand english properly. The man who brought the suitcases to our room had a very bad attitude. He acted as if the suitcases were too heavy for him ! What a bad moment this was !

The bell men are not responsible at all. I was waiting for 30mins for them to go up and pick my baggages but no one go up, i ended up, called my guy to pick it for me. On the other hand they are fast at getting taxi for the hotels guests. that's good. It is not so friendly for the first floor as well as for the fifth floors(lobby), need to always change the lifes.

The staff are friendly and ready to serve you. The hotel is in a great location especially for travelers who came just to go shopping at Orchard Road. It is located between 313 and Ion. Great shopping area.

I am impressed by the excellent service of the receptionist during check in and also the concierge and Bell captain which were very helpful to get me a super maxi cab. And they are also very attentive to my stuffs. Location is great.

This hotel is located in the most convenient Orchard Street, where you have an excellent Department Store, The Takashimaya/Shopping Mall adjacent to the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and eager to assit you. This is the second time staying at this hotel. A new Mandarin Gallery for shopping has been added. T. Seo CA, USA

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Orchard Road. The food at Pine Court is excellent!

On 16th June 2010, my husband and I were caught in the Orchard Road flood. We had to wade across knee length waters from Paragon Mall back to Mandarin Hotel. We were worried about availability of taxis and traffic jam due to the flood as we were leaving Singapore on SQ 182 to fly back to Brunei at 2.45pm. We were grateful for the iron found in the hotel room for quick ironing of our wet clothes and pants due to wading in the flood. By 11.00 am, we checked out of the hotel. The concierge team did their best to handle traffic at the hotel entrance as people were busy queueing for taxis. Knowing we have a flight to catch, the conceirge team made sure that preference was given to us and even informed the taxi driver the alternative route to go. We were truly grateful for that service. We left hotel at 12 noon and arrived at airport at 12.30pm. The important thing we did not miss our flight as we witnessed other passengers arriving late and their particular gate was closed. We want to thank the hotel for taking passengers' need into great consideration. kEEP UP THE GOOD SERVICE. However, we feel the ambience of the check-in counter at the orchard tower is too dim and gives a rather gloomy atmosphere.

Check In Counter Slow check in at counter because of lack of staff. Further to that, u also allow the visitor to select the room at the counter. That's has make the system worst. I like the room interior. Due to the high charges on the room, i would like to suggest that the internet for the room use shd be free and the hotel shd not make profit from this facility. Unlike in Japan, all hotel rooms come with Wlan and FOC. I hope as an advance country like Singapore and Mandarin Hotel as an well establish and reputable hotel, i hope u can provide the best of the best to your client. Thanks.

I was initially cautious before making the reservation as I am not sure how bad the renovation is going to impact my stay there. However, I am glad to say major renovation is over and credit to the hotel management and staff, they try really hard to make sure their guest notice as little as possible whatever is left to complete the major upgrade of the hotel. The price the hotel is offering now is a steal... I am not sure they will offer the same rate once the renovation is complete....

Though I have stayed here previously, I was disappionted with the foyer layout due to the renovations ongoing. For that I expected reduced rates

Ideal place for stay if your trip is for shopping purpose as it locates in Orchard Road, you will not need to walk much after a long day shopping with a bunch of shopping bags. Staff is very nice. Food is OK.

(a) Room :- Big and comfortable , Bed is good too, air- cond very good, but the decoration is a little
old fashion.

(b) Location :- Very convenient for shopping.

(c) Courteous :- Good.

(d) Food : - Up to standard.

Remark : Overall are ok , is just because they are
under renovation ,otherwise i will say 90%
to this Meritus Mandarin.
