Not what you're looking for?

You'll be surprised of how many attractions can be found by simply walking around this culturally rich town, and there are plenty of Malacca hotels too ranging from cheap Malacca hotels up to luxury hotels and resorts. Since most of the attractions are at Malacca Town, you may opt to walk around the town while exploring it yourself. Transportation is easy, and there are a lot of budget friendly hotels too located quite near to toe town centre. Most of these low cost hotels offer comfortable rooms with basic toiletries and amenities. Restaurants are abundant in Malacca Town serving local and international dishes, while seafood is the real attraction here.

There are also plenty of Malacca luxury hotels in Malacca Town itself, which normally located a bit further away at the outskirts of town but having some of the most convenient transportation access. These upper class hotels offer posh and large rooms with lavish furnishing, coupled with premium toiletries and amenities. Most of the upscale hotels have in-house gourmet restaurants and other amenities so the guests won't need to travel far for a sumptuous serving of local and international cuisines. It's quite easy to spot a luxury hotel in Malacca, you'll find the architecture and designs have dominant Minangkabau and Malay traditional house designs with pointy roofing and lots of timber.

Apart from its historical and traditional attractions, Malacca is also known for its one-of-a-kind antiques shopping street. The Jonker Street located at Malacca Town in the city centre is famous for its collections of shops selling vintage and by luck, some antiques sourced locally such as coal-powered iron box, grandfather clocks, hundreds of years old 'keris', a traditional stabbing weapon, and more. Jonker Street is surrounded by many low cost and luxury Melaka hotels in which majority of those is just a short walk away.

Malacca - Malacca is the third smallest state in Malaysia and one of the earliest states that had an established sultanate but it was abolished when Portuguese conquered it in 1511. Modern day Malacca is a lively state with city centre that is full of historical relics and buildings that has history way back to the Portuguese settlements circa 16th century. This unique city was added to World Heritage Site by UNESCO in July 2008. If you love historical locations and startling story behind it, then Malacca is definitely the place to visit.

Most of Malacca's attractions and hotels are located at its city centre, Malacca Town. A lively town with plenty of sightseeing locations, the town has a different glitter of its own during San Pedro festival, a traditional Portuguese festival which is celebrated in grand scale thanks to its small Portuguese community that settled here. Celebrated in middle of July annually, the festival includes show of traditional dances, plenty of food and carnival events. Its bet to visit Malacca during the festival as you can join in the fun together during the festival.

Malacca also has other sightseeing attractions such as the Baba and Nyonya Peranakan Museum, a museum located in a real Peranakan town house that's been converted to museum. The oldest recorded Chinese temple in Malaysia is located here, the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, having inscriptions that dates back to 1685, commemorating the deeds of Kapitan China Li Wei King.
