Not what you're looking for?

Ayer Keroh - The very first place you'd encountered after you exit from the PLUS Highway en route to Malacca is Ayer Keroh. Essentially one of the main tourist destinations in the state, it is rather tacky with man-made attractions that have seen better times. There's the Taman Mini Malaysia/ASEAN which has a collection of houses from different states in the country and the ASEAN countries as well. Kids would probably enjoy spending time at the Melaka Zoo which also offers Night Zoo. It is actually the second largest after the one in Kuala Lumpur and has a large number of tigers that is part of the conservation effort in Malaysia.

Then there is the Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary that actually offers some sort of crocodile shows. They do look kind of sad-looking but then, you also get to enjoy watching the other species here. The Botanical Gardens is not too bad with its large, shady trees that make walking through it a pleasant experience. Book lovers may also want to check out the Book Village Malaysia Melaka that has more than 15,000 books. Located in the Botanical Gardens, it is one of the more relaxing activities you can enjoy in Ayer Keroh.
