location given poor because the tube station at lancaster gate is closed for many months which is a great inconvenience room good size but bathroom below par

The hotel is a very nice small hous, located next to the hide park and the tube. The hotel look like left over from the Victorian times. Wounderful. Our room's are smal, but very clean and quiet. We have been very surprised about the standard of the rooms.

Without exception, the staff were both helpful and friendly The cover over the electric shaver point did not move sufficiently clear of the holes to allow the point to be used

Excellent location. Kind staff. Great ambience. Looking forward to when London becomes "smoke-free". Nice lounge with fireplace in main lobby, but the smoke was a deterrent to using it. Nice room. Good value for London.

A very nice budget hotel, close to underground station. Service minded personel.

The Reception staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is rather small and there's not a big choice for breakfast, but the quality of food is good. The waiters are presentable and professional. The lobby is very cosy, the small fireplace adding charm to it. The room was small and simple, but furnished with taste and clean. The bathroom was clean with modern facilities. Good value for money.

Baby cot was also fine

Excellent location, thus pretty good value-it was as advertised, a pretty typical traditional European hotel-classic design. Staff very pleasant and helpful-helped arrange a next day tour to Stonehenge at the last minute. Clean, nice decor, a bit small, but what I expected.

The furnishings were a little old and faded, but this was the best room at the low end of the price scale that I've stayed in London. The location was superb at the north side of Hyde Park and very close to a tube station.
