The only negtive for this excellent hotel was that on arrival it was hard to find reception. The sign is etch on a window which is not lit and cannot be seen until you get on the escalator, which we did not do until we had explored the ground level and traipsed our suitcases all over the place. Otherwise everything was good.

This is excellent as an "airport hotel". I overheard other visitors suggest that for short business meetings in London, they would consider staying at the hotel and commuting into London because the train connection was so easy.

For me the best feature was the ability to wheel my luggage straight into the airport North Terminal so that I did not have to rush for a morning flight.

The comfort within the room was exceptional. The over-mattress,four pillows and duvet were new, crisp and clean and the arm chair just right for TV viewing.
I do think however that when a price is quoted it should include the VAT

I made a call to the hotel first to see if there were any rooms available. I was informed that there was not. I then looked on the web for hotels i found that there were rooms available. This i found very strange.

I have completed another form. I would also like to say that I tried to book online using Sofitel website. Twice I got to the stage of paying and the site just crashed. I phoned the hotel to see if the booking had been made and someone called Pauline said she was too busy to deal with it and call back which I did, Pauline answered the phone again and promptly transferred me to reservations who, as it was a Saturday, could not deal with it and told me they would contact the hotel and ask them to phone me on the Monday. That was the last I heard of it so I booked through another worldwid website.
