My stay in this hotel met my expectations. The studio room is comfortable and of an average size. The hotel location was however the main attraction of this hotel, as it was in the heart of the city. Overall, I would recommend staying at this for a few nights if you are willing to spend a few extra dollars for the convenient location.
Unbeatable location and excellent service
The service at the Le Meridien was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. My party of 6 arrived at about 8:30am and we left our 10 bags in the care of Le Meridien and our valuables in their safe while we went to the Sunday market in Gaya Street. On our return in the early afternoon our three rooms were ready for us. The next morning we left for a seven day tour in Sabbah and Le Meridien happily kept four bags for us {including one of fragile items} as well as valuables in a safe deposit box. on our return to le Meridien all bags were delivered to our new rooms with little fuss. Upon check-in second time round I handed them four of our 6 key cards from our first stay. This was so not a problem that it was not even commented on. The buffet breakfast is the best I have ever seen. There was a vast range of choices, catering to most cultures and with half a dozen chefs cooking to order. The one very small issue I had {which amused my children} is the hotel has its lifts at one end of the hotel rather than in the middle as is common. This meant that if your room was not sea facing and was on the south side you had a little walk to your room. Not a problem, although if you have a mobility issue you should ask for the north facing rooms which are right next to the lifts. My problem was that the corridors looked exactly alike and I kept going the wrong way between my room and the lifts. The location of this hotel is the best of all the hotels in KK. It is across the road from the handicraft market {Philipino market} and a number of restaurants on the water front, including Port View Seafoods. Centrepoint mall is next door on the souithside {1 block back} and KK mall is a few minutes walk north of the hotel.

Great location
Location of this hotel is excellent, especially for families as there are shops all around it's very convenient. The hotel staff were very courteous. When we checked in and did not like the location of the room and requested for a change, they very politely obliged and it made our stay very comfortable. The housekeeping were very efficient and we got everything we asked for. The only thing we were disappointed with was the cost for an extra bed. It was RM150 per night and we felt it was quite costly so we did not request for one. On the whole, it's a great place to stay.
Great
Was upgraded and given a room overlooking into the riverfront with no extra charge. Couldn't be happier with the change. Housekeeping is great- Fresh clean bathroom & bed everyday. Will definately look forward to staying there again.
tourism
We found the ability to get independant tourist information from the hotel poorly. Allso we would have preferred a balcony with our room. For the rest the hotel is really perfect, beautifull and we certainly recommend it to others, value for money.
After a "not-so-perfect" check-in (got access to my room at 15:50 hrs whereas the hotel "officially" offers check-in at 14:00 hrs) the stay was very pleasant and I would probably stay at this hotel again. Ground floor staff/door staff/etc very courteous, helpful. Location great - probably the best "selling point" for this hotel. BBQ at the pool - great. Breakfast around average - spread is good, but at “slow speed” - e.g. 6 out of 7 hot dishes were empty/ran-out at the same time. My overall rating would be very good (..but not excellent)
breakfast was awesome. great location. the room i checked into however, had some problems - broken toilet bowl, foul smell in the washroom. but the staff moved me into another available room instead.
