Recommendation:   By Mr.Edward Cowie  Australia L'hotel is opposite the tin hau underground station (mtr) which is a direct line to central with the first stop at causeway bay which is very convenient.
the staff were very courteous & efficient and the new bar downstairs is very impressive.
only ... negative was that the single beds were very hard (we wanted a queen but none were available when we checked in very early).

Recommendation:   By Mr.Brian Hands  United Kingdom Whilst the hotel is very convenient for the under-ground with a station just across the road, it lacked every other amenity.
the hotel swimming pool on the rooftop was very small. it did not allow for guests to sit around the pool without ... first getting soaked in the shower that you had to pass through in order to get to the rooftop sunbeds. there were only 4 sunbeds around the pool which did not invite anyone to sit on them.
we were led to believe before we accepted the booking and paid in advance for it that there was a bar in the hotel. this was not true because it is currently being built in the basement. fortunately, there were a couple of bars close by that were very reasonable both to eat in and to enjoy a late night drink.
the hotel entrance is like most boutique hotels, very minimilistic. there was a circular leather seat in red which allowed for about 4 people to sit on. you literatally came down in the lift and left by the front door.
on the plus side, the breakfast was very good but it wasn't included in the price of the room rate. we could really have eaten anywhere for the same price.
thankfully, the ambience of hong kong made up for the lack of ambience in the hotel.
