I chose to stay at the hotel because of its fantastic location. The MRT station, the gateway to almost everywhere in Singapore is just a brief walk away. Arab Street famous for its textile shops is at its doorstep and restaurants serving delicious halal fare are abundant. The hotel itself did not look very impressive. The lobby seemed somewhat jaded with festive decorations of yesteryears (we checked in on boxing day) but the staff at the reception and concierge were attentive and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room which was spacious enough for our family of three was newly refurbished - at least the bathroom tiles were changed, although not the furniture or the fittings. The walls were not noise-proof enough if you hanker for peace and quiet through-out your stay. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would not hesitate to choose to stay at the hotel again the next time we are in Singapore.

Arriving late to a place it is often hard to complain. when a hotel is additionally past its granduer, it's almost sad. That familiar musty smell of damp, dank hallways is to a certain extent homely. Yet if it were my home I would have fixed it. Paying so much as we did makes the experience painful but then lets us judge other hotels that are value for money in context.

The staff at the desk was very polite and pleasant. That made my day. Things were okay and I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.

Restaurants food and service very good. Tour operators based in hotel very helpful. Everyone generally helpful and courteous. Good value for money.

Superbly located, this is a good hotel. Its clean, large rooms and efficient housekeeping. Lovely pool, and sit out. Check in is painful if you arrive early. Lots of guests arriving on early morning flight. Rooms get ready only by 10 am at the earliest. Front office is not very efficient and not always helpful.

REFUSE a room at the top floor (17th floor). We got a room and we could hear some water pump the entire night, every 1 or 2 minutes.

We got moved to another room and it was definitely a lot better. However this hotel always smells like someone's been smoking, even if it's a non-smoking room.

Value for money at SGD$90 a night :D

We stayed in a club room, so expected a fairly high standard and generally it met our expectations. Staff very courteous and helpful which I liked.

Chinese food on 3rd floor was good. Pool area is spacious and pleasant. Hotel is convenient to much of the city and 2 tourism companies on Level 3 near reception are also very convenient for organising day trips and tours.

I was impressed with taxi services to and from hotel, cheap and reliable.

Toilet no good on my last stay, too small, hope they can give me a better room next time.
