This is not a place I would recommend to any one. The room, especially the bath room was not clean, the smoke alarm kept going off and we had to ask for it to be replaced. The night staff at the front desk and the driver (who picked us up at the airport) were good but the morning staff were very curt and arrogant.The service during breakfast was terrible. The so called "buffet" was not well stocked and we had to keep asking for everything and we got the feeling that they were reluctant to bring anything out. Our first night in New Zealand, a country known for its cleanliness and hospitality was certainly not good. The stay at Kiwi International was certainly not worth the money we paid.

The room we had booked was unavailable due to circumstances outside the hotel's control. Being the week before Christmas, the place was fairly well booked out, but the management found a room in the older motel section, with a substantial reduction in price owing to the inferior quality of the room. While we would not normally have stayed in this accommodation, it was still clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and when one arrives at one o'clock in the morning from an international flight, one is very grateful not to have to start looking for accommodation. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we look forward to staying in one of the renovated rooms next time.

The hotel appears to be a little run down which is off putting. The staff were very friendly, no problem there.
Enjoyed the dinner.

We liked it well enough to go back again on our return trip ! Appreciated the nearness to airport and free shuttle service.

WAS NOT MADE AWARE THAT TRANSFERS FROM AIRPORT TO HOTEL WERE AVAILABLE. ADVISED AT TAXI RANK THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A BUS. STAFF APOLOGETIC AND ARRANGED SATISFACTORY TRANSFER BACK TO AIRPORT FOLLOWING MORNING.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, my wife ended up with flee bites, it was so poor ican't think of anything else to say without being rude.
In order to send this I have to say what kind of stay the hotel is good for but it is good for nothing

Only small comment on the restaurant breakfasts. Often not enough cutlery/bowls etc and clients had to keep on asking for assistance to rectify this situation.

Also came back on 23rd Oct on my way back out to Hobart and enjoyed the ground floor ambience of having a garden outside the window.

The hospitality service of looking after bags and free trip to airport was valued highly.

The room was adequate for my purpose which was an overnight due to uncoordinated flight schedules, altho I found the interior old and the bathroom outdated. The staaf were excellent and helpful. Breakfast was also value for money.The hotel is well situated and ideal for transit passengers with free courtesy bus service.

The hotel was clean but shabby and in need of a serious update. The bathroom in particular had serious rusting around the bath and vanity. The restaurant food was almost inedible and consisted of fish that was obviously frozen prepared and (for my friend) a chicken burger that consisted of a frozen minced patty that she could not neat. However, the wine, a Marlborough Savingnon Blanc was delicious.

I realise that a budget priced hotel cannot be expected to provide great food, however it would be better serving no food at all if the standard could not be improved.

The staff were courteous and helpful, but probably labouring under difficult management???

This hotel was in its prime 10-15 years ago, and is very tired. The room size was fine, the bedding appeared clean, but the bath room was unuseable. The bath had "stuff" on it, may be fibre glass from a bad repair. The drain in hand basn was just rust, the top of one tap was missing.

The staff were fine, the food in restaurant was fine if not a little expensive for the quality of the hotel.

The shuttle bus was on time, the drivers were we great, very intertaining.

The bathroom was a disgrace, it had a water leak above the bath and the ceiling was black with mildew, the water had rusted around the bottom of the bath on the outside on the floor and it was brown all along to the side of the toilet.

The screen doors on the bath were jammed.

The sink area was good and the bedroom was good except for dust and fluff around the side cabinet, the radio not working, poor coverage on the tv.

I have been in worse and I have been in a lot better.

I don't like the idea of having to pay for internet service. Even though I was willing to pay for it the front desk didn't have the right cards for me to purchase so we had to do without. One of the reasons we book your hotel was because you advertise internet service. If you continue to do so, I suggest you make it available to your clients one way or another. Other than that we had a great stay and especially enjoyed the shuttle to the airport at 4:00 am. thanks

CLEANLINESS OF ROOM WAS ONLY JUST ACCEPTABLE. I ARRIVED AT 1.00AM RANG FOR A PICKUP BUT FOUND THE PHONE CONTINUELY ENGAGED,I HAD TO CATCH THE LOCAL BUS.

the bathroom area was below standard- ie broken tiles, dirt in courners and shower track, very black & mouldy cieling

We were happy with the hotel.We were happy with the taxi service provided by the hotel to go to Auckland and back but I beleive to be charged $35.00NZ for a one way 20 minute trip is very steep.Just to go to Auckland and return to the Hotel it cost altogether $70.00NZ.I believe this is taking advantage of the tourists using the taxi service. My daughter and I were very comfortable.

It is very close to the airport. The carpet was worn through in many places.

Everything with the hotel met our expectations, with only one exception. I found the stairs to be an obstacle with our luggage. Although this was counter acted with the assistance of getting luggage to our room if necessary.

Breakfast fruit was empty.Toast bread was thinest sandwhich bread and dried to crunchie in the toaster. Food plate swimming in fat. Every corner was dirty. Doors and surfaces grubby
