The hotel is convenient to Auckland's International Hotel and the courtesy shuttle bus a plus.

We stayed one night in a twin room, booking in about lunch time.

The weather was quite damp, so we decided to catch the local bus and have a look around the area, where we eventually got to is another story. When we returned, we could not open up our room, something was stopping the lock from working the lock just wobbled. Several staff tried the lock, still no door opening. All our belongings were in the room. A locksmith had to be called and after having to prise open the outside sliding door, he managed to get the door open. He found a piece of hard plastic jammed into the lock, how it got there remains a mystery, as the lock worked perfectly well before we went out. The management moved us to another room as the door lock was ruined. So everything turned out well in the end.

The staff at the hotel were very good, not just because of the door problem. Food in the restaurant very good, serves quite large and freshly cooked.

Overall, a short but pleasant atay.

Convenient for airport and campervan pick up sites. Transfer bus available. Hotel functional, rather than attractive. Reasnable, if uninspired, breakfast.

Hotel choosen due to its location to the airport and for that purpose was ideal. The facilities suited our purpose being clean, quiet. The external appearance and ground are in need of renovation.

Our reason for this stay at the hotel was to place ourselves near the airport for a flight at 7am. the location is very handy and having the shuttle drop us there at 4:30am was the main reason for picking this hotel, outside of the cost.

We were a little disappointed that the hotel had run out of hot water in our room. It was our intention to have our 7 & 12 year old have showers the night before to limit the need for getting up too early the next day.

However, the staff accomodated our needs by providing access to the next room to allow the children to shower.

The amenities were acceptable for this level of hotel, the games room was just the treat for the kids to keep occupied with an air hockey and a pool table.

The internet access point was a bonus, some of the 4 star hotels need to start looking at this, as one place we stayed I had to visit a very unpleasant internet cafe away from the hotel to access. Cost of accessing was $2 for 20 minutes. When all you want to do is check your bank accounts this is acceptable.

We were a little disappointed that the restuarant was not in line with the accomodation style. Being mostly geared towards backpackers, the meal prices were a little more than we were wanting to pay, hence we sought other venues.

I would like to thank the staff at the Kiwi International Hotel for the service they provided to our issues on this stay and would recommend the hotel for those wanted a short stay to get to the airport.

B & J NZ trip.

This hotel was very basic with no real comforts. It felt very clinical so would probably suit a person in town on business.

They do have a good shuttle bus service which picks you up from the airport for free which was good.
