It is located in a quiet place, though close to a main street of the city. By walking, you would reach fast the Place de la Bastille, the place des Vosges, the place de l'Hotel de Ville and this huge amazing Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville shop, the Ile Saint-Louis or Notre-Dame. The hotel is located in the historical part of Paris named Marais which is also a place known for its gay community. There are many small nice restaurants around. The staff is kind and helpful. The bathroom and the room are clean and the furnitures of good quality. You can reach the tube by walking 2-3 minutes. I just find it a bit expensive, but this is Paris and I finally do not regret the price I paid.

Lobby too cramped. staff were not a problem nice though. too cramped to get in and out. unfriendly to disabled guests. too much stair steps.

Given the limitations of space I think the hotel did a very good job. I was there with 2 friends so we had 3 rooms. Not all rooms had a full length mirror, and some had only a shower as opposed to a bath and a shower. Often we had difficulty with the room "keys".

The room was clean but there were some chips and stains in the bathroom. And when I put the 'do not disturb' sign on my door, BOTH times someone cleaned the room.
