The hotel location is great as is the service of the staff. However, the decor of the rooms (lobby is fine) is old-fashioned.

I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE INTERCONTINENTAL, THE STAFF ARE ALWAYS VERY COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY, CLOSED TO THE MAIN BUSINESS AREA AND AIPORT.
EXCELLENT ATMOSPHERE, ACCOMPANIED WITH EXCELLENT ENTERTAINMENT. AS I AM A REGULAR VISITOR TO THE PHILIPPINES I INTEND TO CONTINUE UTILISING THIS HOTEL.

Gym is overcrowded. Breakfast is very expensive. I am staying at the Shangri La Makati now, where I usually stay. Rooms here are bigger, cleaner, and better beds. I visit Manila 3 times a month and will pay more to stay in hotel other than Intercontinental. I wont stay at the Intercontinental Makati again. Small rooms, terrible bed, overcharge for Broadband in the room, and generally a bad experience.
