Indonesia's Visa On
Arrival Policy

NOTICE
- All visitors to Indonesia require a passport with
at least 6 months validity remaining.
- Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) is available for visitors from more
than 60 nationalities and can be obtained directly from the
Indonesia's international airports and seaports.
- Maximum stay permitted by the VOA is 30 days.
- For a smooth VOA application process, visitors are advised
to bring with them the exact amount in US$ for payment of fees
and to have on hand, the following documents:
- Passport with a minimum of 6 (six) months’ validity
from the date of entry into Indonesia
- Fully completed Arrival / Departure Card
- Return or onward journey ticket
Individual Visa-on-Arrival
- Costs are USD25 for a 30-day VOA. No prior
application is necessary. One-time extension possible.
Group Visa-on-Arrival
- From 1st July 2010, a 7-day VOA at USD10 per
person is available for groups of 4 people or more (terms and
conditions apply).
- A compulsory "Special Clearance Fee" of
SGD4 per person will also be imposed for the services by the
Bintan resorts.
Terms & Conditions
- Travellers must be sponsored by an agent (ie, hotels and
resorts, golf course operators or travel agents based in
Indonesia).
- Minimum four persons travelling together and they must
arrive and depart at the same time.
- Travellers must hold passport with a minimum of six month
validity.
- The 7-day VOA is only applicable to visitors travelling for
leisure activities, conferences, exhibitions, and national /
regional / international / governmental seminars.
- The fee of USD10 per person is to be paid upon
arrival at the Indonesia's international airports and seaports.
- There is strictly no extension of the 7-days VOA and it
supersedes all other Indonesian visas that a person may be
holding.
Application Procedure
- Application for the 7-days VOA must be submitted at least 24
hours in advance, through sponsoring agents.
- Each application form must comprise the passport details of
all applicants (ie, name, nationality, passport number and
passport expiry).
- Sponsoring agents are to submit four copies of each
application to the Immigration Department.
- Upon approval, a stamped acknowledgement will be returned to
the sponsoring agents, as well as sent to the Arrival /
Departure Counter at the Immigration Checkpoint. Travellers need not carry a copy of the
acknowledgement.
