This hotel is located in the centre of the city, so very conveneint for guests there to go anywhere, including shopping centers, supermarkets, street markets, restaurants, bars, cafes and the ferry terminal jesselton point. The staff are really courteous
... and helpful. They smile and greet you once see you. There is no hotel restaurant or cafe, but this is obviously not a problem. You can easily find many near the hotel.
however, this hotel also has some shortcomings. Though new, the hotel rooms are not as nice as i have expected, not because they are small, but because of the low-quality interior decoration. I stayed in two different rooms, but the bed sheets were all dirty, so i asked the staff to change them. They did change the sheets, but i wainted for several hours and had to call them twice. This also happened in the sister hotel imperial international. Why the bed sheets were all dirty?
this hotel has free internet access, which is supposed to be a plus. The speed was fast in the morning, but my travel partner told me it was very slow in the evening, maybe because too many people were using the internet in this hotel at that time.
considering the location and staff, this hotel is a great value for money, but if your budget allows, i'll recommand le meridien, which is also in the city center, but a 5 star international hotel with good service and bigger rooms.
