Mixed Bag Experience

The bar and restaurant staff were extremely friendly, courteous and welcoming.

I thought the breakfast offering was very good - something for everyone.

The food was of high standard but the menu was too expensive overall, particularly the room service fee of $6.00 on top of a premium food price. It is an Ibis not a Sofitel. The food prices should be reflective.

I would recommend the introduction of an in between type Cafe Style menu which is a little less expensive. I am sure you would attract more informal dining from families that way.

The room service order taker was unable to understand what I was trying to tell them. I was trying to order but they hung up on me twice as they thought I was calling to see where my order was. It appeared to me this person was not fluent in English. Thank goodness for reception being able to oblige.

We thought it pleasant to be wished a 'good morning' even from the cleaning staff when walking down the hallways. Hot water jug cannot be filled because of the shape of the jug, will not fit under tap, so difficult to use the tea/coffee sachets you provde. Need different jug or special tap.

Pretty good all round The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, however, in comparison with other city hotels we found it quite small.

Needs heated indoor swimming pool! :) Despite feeling trapped in a cupboard at times due to the small size, I was actually impressed with the room, especially considering the cheap price.

I sincerely enjoyed my stay at the Ibis Hotel. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at reception. They are very helpful. The breakfast and lunch were superb and the variety was excellent. The facilities are great. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay at the Ibis Hotel. I am very impressed. Everything in the room was sparkling clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was quite happy with my one-night stay in the hotel.
