THE IBIS IS VERY CENTRALLY LOCATED AND IN WALKING DISTANCE TO A LOT OF ATTRACTIONS IN THE CITY. HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND ROOMS VERY CLEAN.

The hotel irself was clean, contemporary and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location, although central to everything was not the best. Its on a strip with bars and nighclubs and the noise was very annoying- that is the very young revelers.

When you get to the hotel, ask what kind of room it is before you leave reception as I booked a twin room and when I arrived at 2.30am being very tired, thought I would be given the correct room I had booked but it was a room with one bed not 2 as specified so double check.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. They always had a welcoming smile and were more than willing to help. They were very helpful when it came to using the internet and having easy access to the internet is a great plus for the hotel. The hotel was also in a great location - so close to all the tourist hotspots and retail outlets. Great advice was given as to good eating places. This welcoming and positive attitude by all the staff made our stay in Christchurch one of the best throughout my time in New Zealand.
