I spend 4 days 3 night at Hydro Hotel, the room very large and comfortable. But need improvement for night activities. All activity will finish at 1 am but the staff already clean everything before 1 am. For me,I cant sleep early and want play any games that provide by hotel but when i ask hotel staff for token, they said already close but still not 1 am. If possible can management provide 24 hour service for token so we can play any time we want.Private beach also not as private as mentioned by hotel website, coz it still can entered by other people who not staying at hydro hotel. They using all the hotel facilities and make us not comfortable with the situation. If the hotel can make it really private, it must be a very suitable place for relaxing.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay at Hydro Hotel. The hotel is very good, clean surrounding & big room with bath tub. Staff also very helpful. My daughter enjoyed very much at the pool. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others and will visit again on my next trip to Penang.

we were offered a room at the 4th floor and we had to get it switched (to 3rd) because there's odor (probably smoke), the toilet does not flush at all (even with prolonged hold) and everything looked a little old. the 3rd floor room is much better. additional comments: - kitchen/take-out service and food very good. - dining area chairs have bird stains (hard to find one without) - right side elevator tends to have an issue; sometimes does not go anywhere even after diff floor button pressed; perhaps issue with elevator door not completely tight. - hallway lighting is too dim; deserted feeling. - taxi service/counter excellent !

The hotel is comfortable for our family with the rates that we pay. I have personelly suggest to my friend to stay at this hotel if they visit to PEN.

This hotel is situated between Batu Ferringhi beach and the city, thus recommended for families staying for leisure. The hotel is generally clean with friendly staff at the lobby.

The frontdesk staff are friendly but in my opinion their work performance is too slow. I had to wait fairly long around 20 minutes for them to clear the customers before I can check-in.

The main complaint I have is the carpark ramp. Its too narrow, and coupled with narrow driveway, its extremely difficult to maneuver my car without scratching it against the ramp. The hotel should fix this immediately, otherwise they have to prepare extra external parking lots for larger cars.

We stayed at this hotel when it was the Ferringhi Beach hotel

On our arrival at the hotel we were immediately impressed with the new decor. This first impression was soured by having to wait nearly two hours for our room. When our room was finally ready we discovered it was a lower class room than we had booked, with two single beds (we are a married couple).

Upon bringing this to the attention of front office staff we were eventually offered a "free upgrade" to the deluxe room we had originally booked. After another hour of waiting we finally got into the room.

We had no complaints about the room as all the amenities were comfortable. However the hotel itself had definitely taken a backward step from our previous visit. There is now only one restaurant, no pool bar or staff to serve drinks around the pool, no shop for small supplies (so everything you may need will require a taxi ride to batu ferringhi).

As the hotel is a 10 Ringgit cab fare from the center of Batu Ferringhi we naturally sought somewhere within the hotel to relax and enjoy a drink, however, the lobby bar was unstaffed everytime we went there (including at night times).

In summary considering the rate hike since the renovations/renaming, lack of atmosphere and poor staffing, we will definitely be choosing a hotel in the batu ferringhi strip next time.

When admitted to the room (503) I discovered that there was no bathroom mirror, no shower, the safe in the room was not operable and the telephone worked sometimes.

After four days without a hot shower (I used the bidet hose; cold water only) I was moved to room 507 where everythig was O.K. except for the phone which allowed incoming calls but not outgoing.

The staff members were as helpful as they could be, but I did not receive any apology from management for my inconvenience.

I have previously stayed in every hotel at Batu Ferringhi, with the exception of the Mutiara and have never had ANY problems with those hotels.

Overall, the hotel is great for couples to have romantic experiences due to its location which is near to a splendid beach. It is also quite isolated.

However, the hotel is quite far from the nearest town for guests to do shopping, dinning, etc.

Hotel is under going massive renovation; not suitable for leisure guest since renovation works going all the way during day time. They should plan properly stage by stage renovation. otherwise shutdown for business. The room i was staying was terribely noisy due to renovasion going on on top and below my rooms. air cond not cool

LOOKING AT THE MAP I MANAGED I MANAGED TO SELECT THE ONLY HOTEL WITHOUT A BEACH FRONT AND WAS DISAPPOINTED ON ARRIVAL TO SEE SO MUCH RUBBISH STREWN ON PATHWAYS JUST OUTSIDE THE HOTEL. WE ARE WERE UPGRADED, SO VERY HAPPY, THOUGH AT THE TIME HOTEL UNDERGOING REFURBISHMENT AND LANDINGS WERE SCRUFFY ROOMS WERE ADEQUATE

Newspaper not delivered to the hotel room unless requested for. We requested for newspaper upon checking in. The next day we didn't get any and asked the front desk. They said that no message was passed to them on this matter hence we were left without newspapers for the day.

Everything is ok to me except the light bulb because everytime also got broken one but still ok. Don't worry like your hotel service very much because this is the second time i stay there. As every month also will travel to penang for business.

The hotel was under renovation. safe was not working

None The room was fantastic, the view was great but the refrigerator was empty. Some complementry water would be great.
