The location of the Hotel was good and the value for money was excellent with free car parking underground

Big room with good amenities. Parking if you book is excellent.

Maintenance staff was very prompt and efficient fixing a couple of minor problems.

The front desk was also very helpful in answering questions.

It was pleasant to be upgraded to a room on a higher floor and the room suited the needs of a family of 5 on a budget. The position was close to the CBD but the traffic took some getting used to as we are from the country. Particularly noisey were the fire engines as the station was in the street directly behind.
Over all it was a good stay and we were very pleased with the room, the breakfasts and the cleanliness.

Our overnight stay at the Hyde Park Inn was great. The location just across the road from Museum Station was very convenient. We arrived very early and the staff were happy to store our bags - I especially appreciated the phone call letting me know when the room was ready (early). The view from our 11th floor room was nice. The price for a two bedroom apartment was very reasonable, especially considering the complimentary breakfast, free in house movies and newspapers. We will certainly be returning.

This was my second stay at this hotel which my wife & I regard as very well situated, spacious and comfortable and representing excellent value for money.

Great place, excellent access to city. Parking is very handy. Staff were very helpful and courteous. I would certainly recommend staying here.

hOTEL PERFECTLY LOCATED FOR PEOPLE WANTING A SHORT WALK TO ALL CENTRAL POINTS, WHETHER SHOPPING OR SIGHT SEEING, AND YET WITH A BEAUTIFUL ASPECT OVER THE PARK.
BREAKFAST ARRANGEMENT IS VERY SATISFACTORY IN ROOM, AND HELPS TO MAKE PRICING ATTRACTIVE AND HENCE GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
CAR PARKING OUTSIDE THE HOTEL IS "TRICKY" AT BUSY TIMES OF THE DAY.

Great location, friendly staff and excellent amenities

We arrived early and the staff was helpful in checking our bags into storage while we went out for a quick tour of the city. The room, when we checked in, was very clean and had a great view of Hyde Park from our balcony overlooking the Anzac memorial. This location is one of the most convenient in the city. It is definitely more a city hotel than a resort, but with balconies overlooking a great city view, we found it the perfect combination.

Our room had a full kitchen, though I believe most do not have an oven. Each day the refrigerator was restocked with breakfast foods including bread for toasting, jam/vegemite, cereal, milk, juice and a few cookies. The breakfast table was right next to the balcony and was a nice way to start the day. A couple of chairs on the small balcony would have been a nice touch, but you could bring your breakfast chars out their for a sit.

The onsite laundry facilities were very convenient and we did laundry twice in a week (no charge for machines, and small charge for detergent).

We had a couple of small issues where the shampoo/body soap wasn't replaced or towels not fully replaced, but most were corrected quickly.

We never visited the hotel restaurant, but there was a very cute outdoor cafe in the park across the road in which we enjoyed our last breakfast. Restaurants in the CBD, Oxford Street and China town are all only a short walk. Cirular Quay is a more energetic walk, but we had the Green Travel pass weekly bus pass, and hopped a route daily down to the ferries.

The Australian Museum is just across Hyde Park, and the Botanic Gardens are also quite near.

The hotel as stated above was great value, however, some of the reception staff attitude left a lot to be desired. I felt they talked down to me when I was asking a question. My wife & sister were sitting in the reception area waiting for me & they stated that 2 of the staff behind the desk were mocking one of the guests who had phoned down requesting something, this attitude is bad for any business.

Dryers overheat quickly and turn themselves off. Staff is well aware of this issue -- as are all residents -- yet nothing appears to be in the works to rectify the issue.

As this is my only complaint, the rest is nothing but happy news: spacious rooms, great location, very decent "bang for your buck." Kitchenette is fine, inclusive of fridge, sink, and microwave. Staff are responsive and friendly.

Enjoyed our stay. Overlooked Hyde Park which is beautiful both day and night.Close to all transport and close walking distance to all major locations in the City.
Having breakfast supplied also helped to keep costs down.
