Small and above underground
Ok hotel with very service-minded staff. Rooms were though very small and our room was most likely situatied on top of an underground...evening and early mornings we were woken up by a loud noise and vibration of the trains. We were also unfortunate to have a room close to a door in the hallway, making noise every time someone opened it. The poor location of the room and its size was partly acceptable because of the polite and helpful staff and its close location to an underground (though not very close to the centre).
Hyde Park Towers beats them all
I have visited London a few times now and stayed in 3 different hotels. Hyde Park Towers has been outstanding both times I have stayed there. Huge Pluses: ~Bayswater tube is 2 min away and convenient to everything ~Hotel has a happy hour from 4-7 buy one, get one free on drinks at great prices ~You can rent a computer for 3 pounds an hour, so there is no need to look for an internet cafe Minuses: ~Some of the rooms have small bathrooms, but at least they are in the room ~It does get a bit noisy sometimes outside (during garbage removal), so light sleepers could benefit from ear plugs. Overall, an outstanding place to stay in London!
Friedly and helpful staff. Terribly creaking floorboads. Space in bathroom most unsuitable.
