Very friendly staff. The breakfast could use major improvements Upgrade to fresh coissants and fruits. The room was small, but well appointed and clean. Nice size bathroom.

The hotel was not nearly as nice as it appeared in the photos on the website and was more expensive for the quality than some other 3-star hotels I've stayed at in Paris and that I saw on this trip as well. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but the lack of any fresh fruit at all was disappointing, as was the self-service coffee, powdered hot chocolate, etc. There was not much else in the way of amenities other than the TV & phone in the room. One night we had no hot water at all due to a plumbing problem. My original room was so small and dark, I had to insist on being moved. There was a twin bed with sagging mattress, one window which opened onto an air shaft and the windows of other buildings, and such dim lighting that it was impossible to read in the room even in the daytime! It was also almost impossible to turn on the water in the bathtub because of the way the shower wall was installed, and there was no stopper in the tub to allow me to take a bath. After I was moved to a "superior" room, for which the management wanted to charge me an additional 18 E, my experience was much pleasanter: a double bed, windows opening onto the street, better lighting, and a slightly bigger bathroom.

On check-in, we were not told of the breakfast we had prepaid and so never knew of it until check-out time (and never had breakfast). The mattress was pretty worn...sagged in the middle.
