Old Sydney Holiday Inn is one of Sydney's little secrets uniquely positioned between the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, perfectly located to experience the shops, cafes and restaurants The Rocks is known for.
Stroll down the harbour-side promenade past the museum of Contemporary Art to the lively Circular Quay area with its excellent restaurants and bars. Here the guest can catch a ferry to Manly Beach, Watson's Bay, Taronga Zoo or enjoy a fabulous harbour cruise.
Located in the historic Rocks area of Sydney, the Old Sydney Holiday Inn is popular with visitors to Australia's most dynamic city, and rightly so. Nestled between the famous Harbour Bridge and the iconic Opera House, this hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy magnificent views of one of the world's most stunning harbors from the rooftop pool.
The hotel is also conveniently located for easy access to popular local attractions, such as the Tarongo Zoo, the Museum of Contemporary Art or Circular Quay, while the city's beaches - Bondi or Manly being the most popular - are only a short ferry ride away. Little wonder then that the hotel is a favorite with tourists, yet business travelers also make it a preferred stop, due to its proximity to Sydney's Central Business District.
In keeping with its stylish, central location, the Old Sydney Holiday Inn offers its guests comfortable, elegant accommodations, offering modern amenities while still maintaining a traditional ambience, as befits an establishment in the city's historic area. For handicapped visitors, rooms are available where service animals are allowed and for business travelers, a fully equipped business centre on-site caters to all their needs.
As of 1st September 2009, Credit card payments will incur a merchant service fee of 1.5% in addition to the total amount payable.

Recommendation: By Mrs.Hazel McSweeney United Kingdom The old harbour holiday inn is in a fabulous location in the heart of the famous "rocks"
the views from the roof are great with the harbour bridge and the opera house both clear and close!
the hotel is central for most things -an easy walk ... to the opera house and the botanic gardens. Very close to the river taxis and harbour cruise boats as well as the train.
the ambiance is relaxed in the hotel with helpful staff. My only criticism is that there were no helpful hints about using the pool -like where to find towels and such like and the changing area was very limited.
all in all a fantastic location and if you like a good market - it's on your doorstep at weekends!
Recommendation: By Mrs.Pauline Buxton Lack of concierge noted from previous stay and this was missed by us.

Recommendation: By Mr.Kevin Plenty Unfortunately we had no sleep at all in our room on our 3rd night due to maintenance leaving a 2 way radio in the room. Although we were given a 50% discount at the time i felt this perhaps should have beem more, also the fridge in the room was also not ... working which meant we were not able to use as freel as we could have done and lastly the air conditioning at the time of being there was very noisy
