The only negatives were that we thought the stay should have included breakfast, which it didn't, and the gym was closed when we were there. Actually it wasn't even a gym, just a cardio room.

We were also looking for a hotel with a sauna and steam in the facility; which was not the case. It took a while for us to realize that there was no sauna or steam or fitness or anything in the Holiday Inn. Actually, they felt justified advertising a sauna because they had an arrangement with the Crown across the street. This is the clarity I had hoped for.

We have stayed in many different types of accommodation in many different countries. We enjoyed Kuching Holiday Inn because the staff were friendly, it is well located and like Holiday Inns throughout the world the standard is predictably good. Kuching is particularly affordable.
