The hotel has an excellent location with respect to metro and other communication facilities; taxi, train etc. The rooms in 8th floor are not representable, and we asked the staff to change to another and bigger room, which was organized in a professional manner. However, the windows could not be opened, and the aircondition was not working efficient..The nicht temperature should be reduced, and it was difficult to sleep. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of food. All in all (except for the problem with air conditioning) the hotel met our expectations, and I have already recommendet it to others who will arrive next week.

Holiday Inn Gare de`Lest is like home for me. Since my first visit to Paris September 2006 I always come stay in Holiday Inn. However, it was only this time [June 2009] that I realized how close it really is from Gare du Nord. We always take a taxi when we come visit to and from Gare du Nord and Holiday Inn. But last June 20, I arrived alone and tried to take a cab, no driver would accomodate me. The last driver, however, tried to explain and point me the way to my hotel. In English I only understood him saying "2 mins walk...Gare du Nord" while pointing the direction, "Gare de`Lest" repeating it 2-3times. And OMG, he`s right!!!!

So when I visit next time I now know the way from Gare du Nord to my hotel, Holiday Inn...And back...
