Almost no shops and restaurants are around. What makes it worse is that the hotel doesn't provide any buffet dinner. Anyway, there is a metro line 6 within walking distance from the hotel. Not recommended for holiday seekers in Shanghai.

The rooms are excellent the showers provide a great refreshing shower and the beds are clean and comfortable. The staff in the restaurant are very courteous and the food is excellent. My compliments to the freindly staff at the bell stand.

Overall, this is a good hotel with the possibility to get a non-smoking room after my agent from HolidayCity made an effort to call and email the hotel to secure it. I may still choose to stay there in view of the responsiveness of the hotel and reservation agents to ensure a non-smoking room before my departure from Singapore.

There are restaurants and a supermarket just across the road from the hotel, very convenient. We didn't eat in the hotel, this was due to our busy schedule in Shanghai, but the restaurant looked impressive. The hotel was spacious and clean as were the rooms, the price of the rooms was just right for this type of hotel, not too expensive. I would definately stay at the holiday Inn Pudong again and would recommend it to my freinds.
