The longhouse style is quite unique. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I especially liked the pool nestled amidst beautifyl foliage and flowers. We very much enjoyed our time at Batang Ai. The facility was fabulous and we regreted not staying longer. It's certainly a great place to be, very relaxing and peaceful. We were able to enjoy the pool, which was never crowded. We hiked the trails in the rainforest and sat down in the evening to a delicious meal of freshly caught fish from the lake. A perfect honeymoon setting or a retreat away from a high stress job - a wonderful place to wind down!

We loved the deck with the miniature Iban longhouse, and we really enjoyed the swimming pool. The nature walk led us to an area with bamboo bridge, which instantly reminded us old times in Sarawak. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We stayed only one night, but it was worth a great deal more to meet and stayed with the local staffs. I hope that the staff members will not be replaced because they are the backbone to this resort's beauty. We'll definitely be back. We love the room because there were Iban(or Dayak)designs in a long of the items in the room. The bed was very comfortable, and room services were excellent. We especially liked the 'ruwai", the fact that the longhouse resembled a real one in terms of structure but modernized of course.

I honestly didin't know what to eat for breakfast as a nutritionist. My New Zealand co-staff also express the same feelings. Dinner was good but hot items should be served hot instead of just luke warm.Nothing is worst than drinking not chilled juice, or warm coffee. the bed linen exude the odors and the pillow is not up to the std of the 5 star hotels. It is a very cheap sponge pillow that exudes the greasiness of culmulative human hair odors. I have asked the housekeeping to change the pillow and I got a pair of nice and comfortable feather pillow. I do think a firmer pillow is needed instead of those RM 20 pillow.
