The hotel, although a little expensive for a Holiday Inn, was very good for my purpose, which was for business. Unlike several other hotels it had a pool...which is something I personally like very much when in a warm climate. The rooms were clean and adequate, as are most Holiday Inns around the world. I didn't use the restaurants at all but did use the snack bar on the ground floor for the odd sandwich. I also used the bar for drinks and food. Both of these facilities were fine. I used the shuttle service to and from the airport and paid the charge but think it should be a free service. It wasn't a lot of money but it would have been a nice touch. I've travelled all over the world but it's the first time I've been charged for a hotel's shuttle service. On the whole I found the service to be superior to other Holiday Inns I've stayed in and have to say I was most impressed by it. All, and I include everyone, of the staff were polite and could not help me enough. I would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful clean and friendly hotel, close to all amenities and shops. Serving a High quality breakfast with a minimum of fuss.

Firstly the courtersy pick up that I had arranged was not waiting for me at the airport so I had to get a taxi. Moses in the Food and Beverage department screwed up every booking that I made for meeting rooms. I had to chase 3 times for my laundy which was promised back at 5 to 5:30 pm. I did not receive it until after 7:00pm

Breakfast should be included as standard

Not the fault of the hotel but traffic is a real problem.

I was advised that I would not be able to drink or smoke by the hotel pool, during the sunlight hours. However, the adjacent 'international' restaurant did not stay open all day for foreigners to get refreshments. I would strongly recommend this during Ramadan. This is the first Holiday Inn where I have stayed where the rooms do not have an electric kettle, coffee, tea. Also, the ice bucket was never filled. As a foreigner, staying in Dubai during Ramadan, such facilities would have been extremely welcome.

Internet in the room is nice, comes with a 100Dhms price per day. Room lighting was dim with all lights on unless curtains open during daylight hours. I had a smoking room. Ventilation was poor all smoking rooms seemed to be linked but there was no way to open a window to vent. I am a smoker but the room seemed like I was in a bar 24/7.

Staff on the whole are helpful. May have better instruction for drinking water and free services, e.g. shuttle bus to beaches/airports. Staff should use the phone instead of knocking at the door during mid-night.
