The reception staff were particularly helpful - observing that my father was a little infirm the receptionist gave him a room where access to the shower was particularly good.
However, having decided to stay in the hotel for dinner (especially with curry on the menu of the day) we were appalled at the length of time it took to be served - the curry took one and a half hours............... and then it was mostly potatoes, slopped out like a school dinner.......... there was certainly a shortage of staff on duty - not at all good - I would not advise friends to stay in your hotel unless they were prepared to drive somewhere else for dinner.
Breakfast was very good and the staff friendly.

We could not fault this hotel, the staff were extremely helpfull and polite, and the ammenities were great, the rooms were very comfortable and very clean. When we return to Canberra we will certainly be staying at this Hotel. some of us had room service on the night of arrival and some ate at the restrauant, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I have told my friends about it and recommend that whenevre they are in Canberra to stay at the Hotel Heritage. we would like to say a heartfelt thankyou for making the end of our trip a memorable one. It is not oftenthat you are able to experience a holiday witout any negatives but this one was.

reception staff helpful. It would be doubtful we would use your hotel again. when checking in we were given the wrong room. we moved and the room smelt strongly of smoke. there was no kettle, no instructions on how to use TV or heater. the room was not serviced on the first day of our stay.

Front desk tend to ignore people when they first walk in. When I got in a 1.45 the receptionist told her computer very quietly that check in was 2pm. I was at the counter with another person and we had no idea who she was talking to until a couple of minutes she actually made eye contact and repeated her sentence so that we could hear her.

The hotel was excellent value for money and while not luxurious or modern in decor was clean and comfortable.

Facilities: was told the pool was heated but it was obviously not.

Paint work was poor in a few places, behind lights and around airconditioner.Toilet roll holder was mounted in an impossible area to reach.

Garbage trucks arrived to collect garbage on Friday Morning at 5.30 am making plenty of noise and waking us up

Very nice room, but having internet access from the room would have been a plus

The only downfall is parking at night but otherwise good. While we were there it was very quite. The air con was noisy and the first night we had problems with the TV.

The swimming pool was so cold even in summer. It should be heated. it is good,

Very rundown and neglected in urgent need of a thorough renovation and facelift. For the price adequate and reasonably comfortable.

By far one of the best inexpensive hotels in terms of service, room quality and hotel facilities. It's even better than one of the 4.5 star hotels I stayed at during my time in Canberra. Good size for 2 people. Modern + clean rooms.
