HOTEL IS CONVENIENT (ONLY A FEW BLOCKS WALK) TO STATIONS ON THE CIRCLE/DISTRICT AND CENTRAL LINES AND TO QUEENSWAY.
UNIQUE MODERN INTERIOR DECOR WITHIN A TRADITIONAL BUILDING IN A QUIET STREET.
MY HOTEL OF FIRST CHOICE IN LONDON.

Everything about the hotel was pretentious, starting with the 1980s monochromatic faux-Asian theme and including the lack of basic business necessities. The staff was generally surly, with the exception of the kid who worked extra hard to find a taxi for me (not an easy task, it seems) and the bartender who was a decent fellow. I won't go there again. Everything was inconvenient. The bathtub was hard to access; there was no working desk with a phone; the tables were too low; the electrical outlets were hidden; there was not even a clock. And the walls were thin; I was situated between the two lifts and could hear people all night. Obviously they worked hard to make the place as pretentious and uninviting as possible.
