Hayman Island Resort is the most northerly island of the Whitsunday in the Great Barrier Reef, commands magnificent views south through the Whitsunday Passage. Hayman is 400 hectares (960 acres) in area and 8 kilometers (5miles) in circumference. The resort is situated on a crescent-shaped white sand bay and is the only facility on the island. Access - Daily services into Great Barrier Reef Airport from most major cities connect with Hayman's luxury launches and seaplanes. Alternative access is available via Proserpine Airport, or via boat service from Shutter Harbour. Launch transfer time is 55 minutes and seaplane is 15 minutes.
